Carolyn Austin BA (hons), MCThA, ATA
Carolyn has practiced Amatsu since 2007 and is a member of both the Complementary Therapists Association and the Amatsu Therapy Association.
Carolyn has taken an active interest in complementary therapies since her early teenage years, when recurrent migraines were not easing through traditional medicine. Carolyn qualified in holistic massage in 2006 but soon recognised that her passion for improving people’s health went beyond this skill.
Carolyn discovered Amatsu when her mother had been suffering with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (a condition causing pain and numbness in the hand). Having been given no option other than an operation, her mother went to see an Amatsu Therapist. Her mother’s recovery after just a few sessions was noticeable and continued with steady improvement. During the time that her mum was having Amatsu treatments Carolyn suffered whiplash in a car accident. Carolyn had physiotherapy and acupuncture to relieve the pain and discomfort, yet she was not happy with the results so she saw an Amatsu therapist. Carolyn’s fascination for this therapy had begun. She has therefore experienced the amazing results that Amatsu can bring both to her own health as well as the health of friends, family and clients over the years and is looking forward to bringing Amatsu therapy into the Sunninghill area.
