It has
been demonstrated time and time again that diets don't work, and so to address
this, our Nutritional Therapist, Helen Lynam, has started a programme she calls
“Why Weight?” This is not a “slimming” club.
This is a “healthy eating” group.
This is a group where you will:
·
have a
weekly weigh in and get your body composition data (weight, hydration, fat %,
BMI)
·
learn
nutritional facts each week – there are over 20 different topics over 20 weeks
(see below), including, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, calories, interpreting
food packets and advertising, alcohol, hydration, pre and probiotics, diet
diaries and dairy (each week is stand alone, so don't worry if you can't make
every week)
·
try new
foods
·
discuss
topical nutritional issues
· get support
from like minded people
·
lose weight
– without dieting or calorie counting
·
gain energy,
by understanding how food may impact your health
